This is the fitting we recommend when a standard high bay will not survive the environment: the hot air under a steel-mill roof, salt spray at a port, or wind at the top of a high mast.
Why heat pipes matter
LED lifetime depends on junction temperature. In this fitting, copper heat pipes sit directly against the LED module. The sealed working fluid inside them evaporates at the hot end and condenses at the cold end, so the pipes move heat into a large array of riveted aluminium fins much faster than conduction through solid aluminium can. Cooler LEDs keep their lumen output longer, and the driver also runs cooler.
Built for harsh sites
The housing is sealed to IP67. A breather valve equalises pressure as the lamp heats and cools each night, so moist air is not pulled in through the seals and no condensation forms on the glass. All exposed fasteners are stainless steel and have passed a 500-hour salt spray test.
