Editorial policy

How we research, write, check and correct the guides and market briefs on this site.

BlueGreen OE is the international brand of Hunan Blue & Green Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd., a lighting manufacturer in Xiangtan, China. We publish guides and market briefs to help people who buy and specify road, area and industrial lighting. This page explains how that content is made.

Who writes our content

Guides are written by our engineering and sales team, drawing on what we see in design work, production, testing and installation projects. Where an article names an author or a technical reviewer, their profile describes their role and experience. Articles without a named author are published by the engineering team as a whole.

What we write about

  • Buying and technical guides: how to size, specify and compare lighting products, with the calculations shown.
  • Market briefs: a weekly selection of news on prices, policies, standards and projects that affect lighting buyers, with a short explanation of what each item means for a project.
  • Buyer questions: real questions we receive from customers, answered in public with the customer’s details removed.

How we check facts

  • Every figure in a guide is either calculated in the article, taken from a named standard or source, or based on our own test data. We say which.
  • Market briefs list every source at the end of the article. Prices are market assessments reported by third parties, not our offers.
  • Where sources disagree, we give the range and say so, rather than picking one number.
  • Calculations are checked a second time before publication, and our solar street light calculator shows its formulas so readers can check them too.

Commercial interest

We make and sell the products we write about, and our guides link to them. We try to write guides that would still be useful if you bought from someone else: we explain the trade-offs, say when a product type is not the right choice, and do not criticise named competitors.

Use of AI tools

We use AI tools to help gather sources, draft and translate content. Every article is reviewed by our team before it is published, and we remain responsible for its accuracy. AI tools are never used to invent data, quotes, test results or customer stories.

Corrections and updates

If you find an error, please email us using the address on our contact page. We correct factual errors promptly and show an “Updated” date on the article. Guides are reviewed at least once a year, and whenever a standard or regulation they cover changes.
